Zero Uploads
We never upload your PDF files to any server. All processing happens locally in your browser.
No Tracking
We don't use invasive trackers or sell your data. Your usage history stays on your machine.
Local Storage
Recent files are stored in your browser's private file system (OPFS), inaccessible to other sites.
1. Data Processing
When you 'upload' a file to OlivePDF, you are actually just granting our local script permission to read the file from your computer's memory. The PDF data is processed using client-side JavaScript and WebAssembly. No copy of your document is ever transmitted over the network.
2. Local Storage (OPFS)
To provide a better experience, we use the **Origin Private File System (OPFS)**. This allows you to save work-in-progress documents securely on your device. These files are sandboxed by your browser and cannot be accessed by OlivePDF's developers or any third-party websites.
3. Analytics
We may collect anonymous, non-personally identifiable usage statistics (like which tools are most popular) to help us improve the app. This never includes file names, document content, or your identity.
